The renovation project of the 5-star J44 hotel involved the Ponzi company both from the window and door point of view and from the point of view of the automatic doors,
providing 360° consultancy for the entire closure project. The facades of the restaurant and the hall, the external screening, the parapets, the window frames of the rooms and the stairs and the external decorations of the hotel were installed in alucobond. The facades are of the mullion and transom type, with 60 mm profiles produced in large mirrors with a 2.3 m base and a height of 2.5 m. The bedroom windows are large sliding doors with a fixed part and a sliding part, equipped with a "Lift and slide" mechanism, while tilt-and-turn windows have been installed in the corridors. These windows have a thermal break profile 65 mm thick and develop in a vertical ribbon. Expanded sheet metal frames have been installed externally with the function of screening and sunshades.
The glass parapets, installed in the rooms with balconies, were made with 10 + 10 mm thick tempered glass, placed together with a polished edge and mounted on a lower aluminum guide profile, they are continuous and follow the external wall of the building. The external wall of the building is decorated with an external cladding in alucobond, formed by a rectangular section measuring 300 mm x 500 mm deep, fixed to a substructure which develops along the wall with both horizontal and vertical sections. Another fixed decorative element placed outside the balconies is the series of sunshades, useful for solar shading, made of expanded aluminum sheet and fixed to a hot-dip galvanized sheet measuring 1250 x 3500 mm, fixed directly to the floors of the building.
A compass consisting of two four-leaf automatic doors, equipped with a TOS (Total Opening System) mechanism, which enables automatic entry as an escape route, has been installed in the main entrance. The doors swing open with simple manual pressure, gather towards the end stop and free the passage allowing the door to become an emergency exit.
